Electronic Fuel Level Sensor

Background:

Fixed type Battery Box made of mild steel was used for DEMU coaches.   Difficulties faced in this design are that they are subject to corrosion and operational limitations. Being fixed type, handling batteries in and out of the battery box is tedious and time consuming.

Fixed Type Battery Box	Draw-Out Design

Description:

Stainless steel draw-out design battery box has been introduced.  Battery box is made of stainless steel with ROLLON telescopic rails.  This will facilitate easy loading and un-loading of batteries. It will also facilitate easy top-up of batteries and other routine inspection.  This improved design battery boxes are introduced on 1600 hp DEMUs.
