Procurement of material, valued in excess of Rs 10 lakhs, is through the system of Open Tenders. Open Tenders are published in the leading newspapers. Unregistered suppliers can participate against the Open Tender subject to fulfilling the requirements mentioned in the tender documents.
The Tender notice published in the newspapers, contains details of the material, quantity, cost of tender documents, the due date for submitting the offer, and other important information relevant to the material.
Vendors, interested in participating against the tenders, are requested to read all the instructions in the notice.The tender documents can be purchased in person, or by post, by remitting the cost of the documents as detailed in the tender notice. The details of the office from which the documents can be purchased is mentioned in the tender notice.
The tender documents issued by ICF would consist of the tender schedule, the booklet of instructions, the special conditions, and the drawing. Vendors are requested to submit a complete offer as per the instructions in the tender documents.
The Earnest Money Deposit has to be remitted while submitting the tender documents. Vendor should ensure that the completed tender document is submitted so as to reach ICF within the closing time and date.
The offer submitted should have a validity of 90 days, or as specified in the tender document.
Offers by FAX and Telex will not be considered.
The tender will be opened at the specified time in the presence of the vendors representatives, and the details of each offer will be read out.
