Financial Management Information System (FMIS)
The Financial Management Information System (FMIS) runs on MF COBOL on HP-UX and consists mainly of the following modules:-
The Financial accounting module captures data in the form of Cash & Journal transactions.
In the Provident Fund Accounts module, the individual PF accounts of the ICF employees are maintained.
The Loans & advances module captures payments and recoveries of various Loans & Advances to ICF employees, both interest bearing and non-interest bearing.
The Manufacturing Accounts (WMS) and Costing module captures all the costs incurred in the manufactures of Shells, coaches and spares manufactured - such as material, labour and overheads. On the other hand, the Costing module involves generation of reports for analysis of batch costs of Shells / Coaches.
The New Pension module captures pension contributions made by the employee on the one side and the government on the other.
Financial Management Information System (FMIS) on the web is a part of some recent IT Centre initiatives to make available useful information to the Accounts users. This website has been developed using Active Server Pages and MS Access / Oracle.
